| Old Sweet Resort was a popular mineral springs resort from the late 1700s to the early 1930s. Many dignitaries – such as Queen Victoria and the King of England and 6 US presidents – visited the Old Sweet in its “heyday.” The resort featured the famous mineral spring, cool evenings, the splendid Sweet Springs Valley and the Allegheny Mountains. | Come stay in a Lodge built with white oak logs hand-hewn by some of the areas earliest settlers and find a special retreat from the outside world. Situated on its own private road, the location offers complete privacy, yet provides spectacular panoramic views of the mountains. When your family or group arrives you are the only guests.
The Lodge can sleep up to twelve. There is a large deck spanning the front of the Lodge and overlooking the mountains.

| The Inn sits on the same site as the Historic Old Earlehurst Stagecoach Tavern, built by Mary Fredrick and Isabelle Wells in the late 1800''s. The B&B house was raised by the present owners of reconstructed antique hand hewn logs. Seven guest rooms and a rustic cottage which sleeps four are available for rental by the night or by the week. Open year round. Located in an integral part of the Monroe County area, but just over the state line in Earlehurst, Virginia on one of Virginia''s scenic byways, Route 311, Kanawha Trail. |
