MONROE COUNTY EVENTS

March 13-15, 2015 | Irish Festival Weekend
Pipestem Resort State Park.  Irish Festival shenanigans.  See "Rhythm of the Dance" at the Chuck Mathena Center on Friday.  Irish Road Bowling is Saturday, at 2 pm with a start line at the Nature Center.  Traditional Irish Buffet at Pipestem Bluestone Restaurant from 5:30 - 8:30 pm.  "Solar Creek" performs old time mountian and Irish music in the Faulconer Room at Pipestem's McKeever Lodge.  Room discounts available when asking for the "Irish Festival" rate. 304-466-1800  Learn more.

April 10-11, 2015  | IBO Spring National

April 30- May 2, 2015  | 4th Annual Quilters Retreat

April 18, 2015  | Preppers Festival
The 2nd Annual Preppers Festival will be held on Main Street in New Castle, VA.  This event will include a wide array of preparedness, homesteading, and survivalist-related ventors, local artisans, skill-building workships and even a Top Chef Prepper Cook-Off.  Live music throughout the day.  Contact the Craig County Business Association for more information 540-309-6642.  Learn more.

June 5-7, 2015 | Farmer’s Day

Downtown Union

July 4, 2015 | Alderson 4th of July Celebration

West Virginia's Largest Independence Day Celebration kicks off with a bicycle race. September 26-27, 2015 | Autumn Harvest Festival

 

WVU Willow Bend Farm, 4 Miles South of Union, WV on Willow Bend Road
Festival celebrating the end of the agricultural season. Come for the best food; country, live bluegrass & gospel music; handmade quilts & crafts. Vegetable, flower, quilt & art contests.
