June 5-7, 2015 | Farmer’s Day

Downtown Union

An old-fashioned annual event honoring Monroe County’s agricultural heritage. Sponsored by the Union Chamber of Commerce. Highlights of the event are street dance, photography show, parade, free hot dog supper and family field day, karaoke, and fireworks.  Contact: 304.772.3003.

July 4, 2015 | Alderson 4th of July Celebration

West Virginia's Largest Independence Day Celebration kicks off with a bicycle race. July 18, 2015  | Wheels of Hope
The Wheels of Hope 9th annual ride promises to be the most sublime bicycle ride of your life. Our century bike ride of 113 miles and 8500+ feet of climbing will leave you tired but so proud of your accomplishment. There are three other routes ranging from 18-65 miles.  A charity bicycle ride for local cancer survivors and Hospice Care. Learn More.

September 26-27, 2015 | Autumn Harvest Festival


WVU Willow Bend Farm, 4 Miles South of Union, WV on Willow Bend Road
Festival celebrating the end of the agricultural season. Come for the best food; country, live bluegrass & gospel music; handmade quilts & crafts. Vegetable, flower, quilt & art contests. Horseshoe & corn hole tournaments. Youth tractor pull. Apple butter making will be demonstrated and the results will be sold. Large flea market. Free admittance. Contact: 304-772-5475.
